It makes the process go very smooth and makes the backups for you. It deactivates the plugins for you, gets the new version for - it does everything for you. All you have to do is follow the onscreen instructions and press click where it reads click here. Smooth sailing all the way through and you get one file for your database backups and one file for your files and folders. It really could not be any more simple and I am glad there is a plugin for this process because the other way on the WordPress Codex page is very complicated. If you combine that with the outstanding builtin SEO capabilities and best support forum on the 'net, Thesis Theme is hard to say no to...
