About

My background is considerably different than most people who write about blogging: Brand, reputation management and communications strategist to major global organizations for more than 20 years, author of two books on image leadership through using the media, adjunct professor at the University of Virginia, Emmy Award winning former on-air correspondent for CBS News, Web site publisher since 1999 and active blogger since 2003.

The dynamic technology behind blogs is changing the face of the Internet and fast becoming the preferred tool of effective online communication. The space of personal bloggers not long ago, interactive content management sites running on blog technology today are used by corporations, news organizations and many individuals.

So many acquaintances have asked me to assist with developing and launching blogs that I have taken my show online with BlogStrategies.net: step-by-step instructions to create a self-hosted or independent blog that can be customized for a business, online newsroom, organization, or individual. The outside services I suggest are the same ones I use. And if you don’t have the time or inclination to launch a blog, I’ll do it for you at a nominal fee and in less than 24 hours. It’s become a passionate hobby.

I sincerely hope you find this site to be helpful.  Got a question?  Click Contact.

By the way, “self-hosted” means a Wordpress blog that is using a professional Web hosting company rather than a free service over which you have no control.
