ProBlogger the Book

When I launched BlogStrategies.net, I made the decision to include recommendations for services and products I personally use. As a result, you see mentions and advertisements for Apple, Lunarpages, Godaddy, Solostream and other computer, technology and online companies. The same is true for the new book, “ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income,” by Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett.

This is a terrific new book, in my opinion, for anyone who is actively blogging or considering a blog.  It’s a challenge for anyone to write a book about such a quickly evolving area as blogging because by the time the book is published, much of the scene has leap-frogged ahead. But, ProBlogger is about as current as it gets. Much of the book was written by Rowse who has the popular blog, ProBlogger.net. If you haven’t visited his site, it’s well-worth the time.

One of the secrets detailed in “ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income” is to have multiple blogs with each one focused on a popular niche. How do you identify a hot new trend? The book suggests Google.com/trends.

Among the wealth of tips, ProBlogger explains how to find a blogging niche that may work for you, how to monetize a blog, how to connect with search engines, how to use trackbacks, how to build an interactive blog and how to use a cool traffic analysis service, called 103bees.com.

ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income” is a valuable resource for anyone interested in blogging, whether you simply wish to have a voice on an area or expertise or get on the road toward earning that six-figure income. Either way, good luck.
